Beacon Hill

One of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods, Beacon Hill is approximately one square mile in size. Beacon Hill is just off Boston’s Public Gardens and is bordered by Beacon Street, Bowdoin Street, Cambridge Street and Storrow Drive. Its architecture is reminiscent of colonial Boston, consisting of brick row houses with beautiful doors, decorative ironwork, brick sidewalks and narrow streets. The Massachusetts State House sits atop Beacon Hill, and Charles Street, the neighborhood’s main street, is lined with quaint shops and restaurants.
